Resources for MN Families During Immigration Enforcement Operations

In January 2026, the federal administration deployed over 3,000 ICE agents to the Minneapolis-St. Paul region in what officials describe as perhaps the largest immigration enforcement operation ever.

ICE agents have now been spotted in several more regions throughout the state, including (but not limited to): St. Cloud, Rochester, Mankato, Willmar, and Detroit Lakes.

How We’re Responding

Families Rising facilitates a significant program in Minnesota for adoptive, foster, and kinship families.

During this time, all in-person support groups and events have been moved to virtual gatherings out of an abundance of caution for our families.

As we continue to keep tabs on the growing situation, we are evaluating how to create safe in-person spaces for future events.
